These strange objects are exposed in Bolzano these days. They are part of a project with the title
"Trash Art".
The exhibition, which was set up by the students of a middle school, aims to make people aware of the enormous amount of things that are thrown away every day.
Amazing how they made such art out of so much trash!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of this exhibit! I especially love the Mondrian inspired shoes.
ReplyDeleteAn excellent idea and some very funny works. The only risk is that someone may take this for real contemporary art placing it in a museum, which they deserve more than many other 'installations'.
ReplyDeleteSome of these are extremely clever! I also love the color-block shoes!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...sometimes trash is trash is trash is trash and no amount of colorful descriptions can change that! I don't think the Louvre need be challenged by these interesting concoctions. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting project. If the school kids did some of those sculptures, they have a good eye for art.
ReplyDeleteThe kind of Mondrian shoes is my favourite. Cool!
ReplyDeleteWe have a friend who creates art from found objects. He calls it "found art." He makes framed wall sculptures from the wire bristles that fall off street sweepers. I am saving all of my hearing aid batteries for him to use some day.
ReplyDeleteI love the way young people think, we really have to stop being such a 'throw away' society..what a great way to bring attention to a serious problem, well shown Karl.
ReplyDeleteI like it!
ReplyDeleteIt is crazy, creative and FUN ART!
