So good to see this large collection of postcards, which are getting harder and harder to find since the advent of the internet. I seldom get postcards anymore...a terrible loss!
A nice collection here.At the top I love several cards, at the other one too, but the face in the middle is like a nightmare!! I like to find nice postcards, some I send, some I don`t, either because I forget, or I can`t find a place to buy stamps or even a letter box.
Most greetings are on facebook these days, but just like Kate I miss the old POSTCARDS too.
Hi Gunn, the "nightmare" is the Iceman ( http://www.iceman.it/ ) For more informations you can also see on wikipedia. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%96tzi_the_Iceman )
I stopped to look at the post cards on my short visit to Bolzano back in May and I remember seeing one that depicted the scene you used to have on your header for this blog.
I like taking photos of postcard racks, too. For a photo book of pictures from a trip, I sometimes use a photo of postcards or tee shirts to introduce a new city.

ReplyDeleteI would hope that some of these are yours because if they are not they should be! So many of your photos are postcard quality or better!
