Egetmann 2013
Last Tuesday I went to Tramin/Termeno to watch the Egetmann parade.
The Egetmann parade is the "wildest" Carnival parade of South Tyrol, for sure!
This parade is held every 2 years, always on Shrove Tuesday.

These are the "Wudelen" or "Schnappvieher", freely translated with " the animals that bite".
The Egetmann (represented by a doll) marries and moves with his entourage through the village.

Zusslrennen
Zusslrennen in Prad
These men called "Zussl" are wearing cowbells weighing up to 20kg.
Last Thursday I went to Prad am Stilfserjoch / Prato allo Stelvio to watch the traditional Zusslrennen. It was the first time I saw this.
The Zusslrennen is a unique carnival parade which happens every year on Carnival Thursday.
