Alpine roses, 1, 2, 3, more and even more...

Alpine roses (Rhododendron) - German: Alpenrosen, Italian: Rododendro

I found these nice flowers in the forest at the end of the Martell Valley (2,150 meters a.s.l.)

  4. These are all glorious photos but the 2nd one really stands out. What's this about a birthday? Just in case, I wish you a fantastical time on your birthday! Is there anything different about an alpine rose say, from a Roman rose? I'd guess an alpine nose would be a little redder than a Roman nose, but I'm not sure! :))

  5. They are all lovely. It seems that your rhododendrons bloom quite a bit later than ours.
