Ferragosto

Ferragosto (August, 15) is a public holiday in South Tyrol, as in whole Italy.
In many localities are held folk festivals, so as here in Unsere Liebe Frau im Walde.

Wiener Schnitzel, polenta with chanterelles and sausage, grilled chicken, grilled pork chop with potato salad, goulash with polenta, sausage with bread, pommes frittes...

Often a tent is issued because the weather is not always safe.

  1. Happy Ferragosto. Your photos are fun. But it is not what I was used to in Jerusalem, where August 15 is emphasized (by the Christians) as the day of the Assumption of Mary.
I'd like a plate of that grilled chicken!

  10. I enjoyed the first photo. Those girls are wearing leather pants, which I thought only men wore. See how much I learn from you?

  11. I've been once in that kind of the beer tent in Munich. It was a big one.
I did not know that leather pants are still used. :)
