The summer is really celebrated in South Tyrol.
There are so many events, festivals, concerts, theater performances...
The most popular, however, are the "Wiesenfeste" (meadow festivals), with music, dance, entertainment, games, good food and drink.
Here are two photos of a "Wiesenfest" in Gargazon / Gargazzone.
If the weather is uncertain, then a large tent is pitched, and then it becomes a "Zeltfest" (tent festival).
Tomorrow I'll show you a few pictures of a "Zeltfest".
(It is the same as a "Wiesenfest", only in a big tent).

Na das ist ja auch schön aber ganz anders als in Versailles!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun. I really like that portrait of the young guitarist !
ReplyDeleteA fine candid portrait. Nice dress to go with the guitar!
Wonderful, Karl. There aren't many things more fun that summer outdoor concerts and festivals.
ReplyDeleteWould that the whole world could pause for just a moment to celebrate summer. :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful way to celebrate summer!
ReplyDeleteSuper summer shots Karl, does it get very hot in Bolzano in the summer ?
ReplyDeleteYes, it does, Bolzano is one of the hottest cities in Italy in the summer.
