Wow! This is hard to imagine. I worked one summer on the back of a hay baler in California. It was a terrible job. Can't imagine doing it by hand on a slope like that!
But what a place! It must be haying time everywhere in the northern hemisphere. I have seen recent hay photos in Ontario and the USA's Great Plains. Each area is beautiful, but yours might be the most beautiful.
Really a hard job as manual labor.
ReplyDeleteBut I think there don't may machines to use ..
Very interesting images.
Wie früher, wie immer. Schön. Riecht bestimmnt auch gut!

ReplyDeleteIt's a hard job on flat land, I can't imagine doing it on a hillside like this.
ReplyDeleteIf this were my place, I'd rent a tractor! :)
ReplyDeleteNo chance, here it is too steep for a tractor...
Deletewhat a magnificent backdrop!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely and rural.
ReplyDeleteThe steepness of the slope definitely cancels out the notion of using machinery to get it done.
ReplyDeleteI guess this is the only way to do this up there...
ReplyDeleteGo girls!
ReplyDeleteI worked with those long hay rakes for the first time at the monastery in Switzerland. I had never seen one before (before 2003).
