It sounds like a serious Wanderweg. Did you continue on the path, Karl? Did you see any hikers? The signs have been there a long time, it looks. (When I used to hike the Swiss Alps in Canton Glarus, it was rare to see people. I'd walk for hours and feel like I was the only one left on earth.)
It's nice that they give you a warning. And the bench is there for those who decide enough is enough, they'll rest a bit and go back the way they came. Looks like a beautiful place to hike, though!
There are trails here that are marked in guidebooks and at entrances in similar fashions- "strenuous conditions, requiring great care and good physical condition", things like that. I wouldn't mind taking that trail!

Yes, I did, Dina, and I saw a few hikers too.

DeleteIs that a path too dangerous for ordinary walkers?
ReplyDeleteIt seems strange that such a prohibition, if not also explain why it is.
It is not a prohibition, only an advertisement to be careful...
DeleteIt must be a bit more strenuous than average.
ReplyDeleteThe path is not for me, I will rest on the bench!
