The Knottnkino or Knottenkino (Rock Cinema) is an installation of 30 weatherproof cinema chairs made from steel and chestnut wood on a rock at 1465 meters above sea level above the village of Vöran / Verano. From the comfortable cinema seats you can overlook the entire Adige Valley with the basin of Merano. Behind rise majestically the Dolomites and on the horizon the summits of the Oetztal Alps and the Texel Group Nature Park.

Beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteWow, what an idea. Those chairs seem to have a life of their own.
ReplyDeleteOne could get dizzy looking down from such heights, good there is somewhere to sit and a chair to hold on to. :)
I didn't see those chairs when I was there but I do recognize that spectacular view. The chairs are a perfect place to relax and take it all in.
ReplyDeleteI believe you, Sharon, these chairs are outside the main tourist routes...
DeleteKarl, please reserve a front row seat for me. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteOh wow! So much better than watching a movie!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing place to take in the view. I could die happy there.
ReplyDeleteIf I ever come up there, I want to see this!
ReplyDeleteWhy not? Come on, VP !
DeleteWhat a good idea to have put these chairs in such a magnificent place !
ReplyDeleteEye-catching beautiful !
ReplyDeleteThat view is better than the theater. The chairs are needed, as the landscape could look at all day and evening. But a very special group.
Hugs
A wonderful idea! And a breath-taking view.
ReplyDeleteDas tollste Freilichtkino der Welt mit einem atemberaubenden Panorama.
ReplyDeleteMarietta
All I can say is wow! I would never want to leave with a view like that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. What a great idea to have theater seats to see this breath taking scenery. Sun rises and sunsets must make for great viewing pleasure.
ReplyDeleteSenza parole...avrei finito tute le schede di memoria che ho! Ciao, Arianna
