That could have been disasterous if the nets hadn't been inplace Karl, I quite like storms, but not so much the hail!
These are dramatic pictures.I'm glad the apple trees were protected. Are the nets normally to keep away birds and bats?
@Dina: No, the nets are only to protect the apple trees from the hail.
Perhaps the nets are added to provide an opportunity for a creative photographer.

Terrific, Karl. I have never seen netting like this with apple trees. But, hail is quite rare around here.
