Is that a date carved into the stone? Can't quite make it out. If it is MMX (2010), that would make it a recent addition, but that bench looks ancient. Fine composition in this photo.

Now that's a bench with character. Like Sharon said, though, probably not too comfortable. Looks very old and rough-hewn. We had a concrete bench in our back yard in our old house in Ocala, but it had no character at all! :-) This would have worked much better!

Wow I bet that bench weighs a ton Karl, nice and chunky. I like the two deep set windows full of reflections as well.
