Karl, you bring back memories. When I lived at Heifer Ranch in America the volunteers would make a big drive-by living Nativity for the townsfolk for two nights. Since I was the donkey trainer, I often had to play the part of Mary, sitting on a donkey under the cold night sky for hours. :)
Der Esel scheint echt zu sein aber leider nicht das Christkind. Bei uns im Dorf gibt es jedes Jahr eine junge Mutter mit nahe an neugeborenem Kind, echt rührend und es hat die Kraft das ganze Dorf zu einer Gemeinde zusammen zu ziehen. Mit warmen Weihnachtswünschen vom fernen Australien . . . Arija

Maria und Josef sowie Ochs und Esel sind lebendig, das Kind allerdings nicht, wie Du gut bemerkt hast, dafür ist es hier viel, aber viel zu kalt !
Da hast hierum du recht, dafür ist es bestimmt viel zu kalt -:)
