Hope you're doing well, Karl. Haven't heard from you for awhile. These are fun photos. One has to wonder about the person from Tokyo who dedicated the front bench...was he just a tourist, a business person, a local who moved to the area from Japan or what? Take care!

One sees them here as well, though usually the inscriptions are on a plaque fixed to the bench.

That is a nicer way of doing it than our little plaques that are stuck to the benches!

Very interesting to place these dedications.
I've seen banks like that, with dedications in Central Park in NY.
