Persimmons

Persimmon trees in Kurtatsch / Cortaccia.

In South Tyrol we don't have persimmon orchards, but only single trees here and there.
They are picked at the end of November when they are really ripe.

Last Christmas, a group of my friends got together to cook up a fabulous meal. One of the things we had was a salad with persimmons. It was delicious.
