The Egetmann parade is the "wildest" Carnival parade of South Tyrol, for sure!
This parade is held every 2 years, always on Shrove Tuesday.
These are the "Wudelen" or "Schnappvieher", freely translated with " the animals that bite".
The Egetmann (represented by a doll) marries and moves with his entourage through the village.
These are the guests...
... among the guests there are also wild men...
...washerwomen...
... and many other figures....

That looks like so much fun! But those Wudelen look quite fearsome—I can imagine the stories told to children so they won't wander far from home.
I'm flabbergasted! What a celebration. It ain't the Rose Parade but looks a lot more lively and a lot more fun. The Wudelen are too big and funny to be really scary but I love those costumes and the "teeth." This whole thing must take a lot of work by a lot of people! Great post, Karl.
