Castelfeder is a multi-jointed porphyry hill in the South Tyrolean lowlands in mining above Auer . Remains of prehistoric , Roman and early medieval settlements testify to its strategic location. The "upper castle" rises some 150 meters above the valley floor and is located on 405 m slm . Today Castelfeder is a protected habitat . Font: Wikipedia (translation by Google).

You have very beautiful places there.
Have a nice springtime.
When we were on the highway heading into the mountains toward Bolzano, I saw sever castle ruins up in the hills. I kept wishing I had more time in Italy so I could explore some more.
Great ruins and the second shot is wonderfully framed. Well done, Karl.
Spectacular views Karl, beautiful Bolzano..
Fruchtbarkeitsrutsche???
This is a fascinating place, Karl. I particularly like the framing you created in the second photo.
