These days Tenzin Gyatso, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, is visiting South Tyrol. He was invited by the South Tyrolean Governor Dr. Luis Durnwalder, in order to receive the "South Tyrolean minorities award".
I met him shortly before the ceremony, took a picture and greeted him.

Outside, a group of activists for minorities rights showed a slogan "TIBET is not China."

It must have been a great experience for you, Karl.
I'm pretty jealous, I would like to have met the man.
Greetings from Denmark,

That's very cool, Karl. I'm sure you enjoyed this meeting immensely!
That's wonderful that you were able to meet the Dalai Lama, Karl!
I hope he was warm enough. I always worry about his bare arm in cold climes.
That's a memory that will stay with you forever. Wonderful :)
This is very exciting, Karl. It must have been a memorable time.
Karl, I've admired His Holiness the Dali Lama for years. I envy your opportunity to meet him. Thank you for your post.
Kohtaaminen, jonka muistat varmasti koko loppuelämäsi.
Hieno hetki.
What an honour, Karl! I visited Tibet and I'm all for the 'Free Tibet' movement.
