It has quite a history I'm sure...I'm wondering if any of the original structure is still standing. It would be fun to visit. Love your photo and the way you composed it. I can see a vineyard which I assumes belongs to the castle.
The age of some of your buildings never fails to amaze me! And what an absolutely grand location for this castle!
Wonderful picturesque photo. It encourages fantasizing and wild imagination. . .who lived there, what were their stories, for example?!
Hi Kate, follow the link below the photo...
That is a beautiful photo!
Songs from the musical "Chess" are now running through my head, particularly the song "Merano".
Luxembourg had 'forces' to besiege castles around Europe?
It looks enduring, and has a gorgeous setting to be in. I'd like to see it for myself.
Wow, Karl you have done it again. Stunning photo of the castle. Those grape vines should start growing was the soil and air warm in spring sunshine. Still frozen here, but there is hope.
It is perfect, Karl, and the light could not be better. And, you have framed it wonderfully. Love love love it.
Great job in getting the close up fence in the shadows and the distant castle in the sunlight both exposed well !
Wonderful composition again!
This shot is outstanding, love the composition!
