The "Keschtnriggl" is an old tool to peel the roasted chestnuts.

This is new to me. I've never heard of such a thing.
A really curious device, I wonder if we have something similar in Tuscany and how it is called...
I'm glad you explained what this is. Seems a bit large for a wee chestnut, though! :) I tried to pronounce the name and my mouth got so twisted that I could speak for 30 minutes. My wife appreciated that! :)
Now that is a very strange device to me. I would love to see how it worked.

This one could peel a whole grove of roasted chestnuts!
This tool is new to me, but that's not surprising as the chestnut tree has been lost to the North American continent. Still it works well as a piece of sculpture.
