The Ice Climbing World Cup is the most important series of competitions organised every year by the international association UIAA.
From 27 to 29 January 2017 the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup pitched its tents for the fifth time in Rabenstein / Corvara - Passiria Valley.

Wow, this is very unique. I've never seen or heard of anything quite like this.
This is new to me. And I have to ask: Why do people do this stuff. It looks cold and dangerous! Don't they have homes with fireplaces where they could sit, stay warm, and enjoy a warm brew?
