Kastelruther Bauernhochzeit - Peasant Wedding in Kastelruth

Every year Kastelruth / Castelrotto recalls the traditional "Bauernhochzeit".

Bride, groom and the whole wedding company appear in their historic costumes for the joy of residents and tourists.

This is fantastic. I feel like I was there right along with you. I Love the horses all decked out and that 7th photo is my favorite with the horse looking happy and the guy taking a photo. Wonderful shots.

Quite incredible. I've never seen anything like this. I'm wondering if the families of the intended have to pay for this and I would imagine it's quite expensive. I'd love to see and hear it in person. The bride and groom look so young and innocent. The costumes are all beautiful and the various horse dressings are amazing. Thanks for sharing, Karl!
