Oh yes, in the middle of the Alps there are also Country Girls. Up until 2 months ago I didn't even know, that they exist.
The "Country Girls Gherdëina" is a dance group from Val Gardena, and because I can not show their joy and happyness with a photo, I've made a research and found this nice little video.
The video was shot last summer on Monte Pana, in the background you can see one of the most beautiful mountains in the Alps, the Sassolungo.

Great fun, Karl. Loved watching the video; reminds me of western United States, but your scenery is a bit different. Enjoyed seeing the fun the "country girls" were having as they danced. Looked as though the hats were leather rather than traditional felt. Boots looked pretty uniform which was probably intentional to go along with the costume.
Now this is something I would never have expected. I love it.
Oh that was fun to watch Karl, I'm sure there's not many places that you can dance 'country style' with such a spectacular backdrop!
Would never have expected to find Texas line dancing and music in Bolzano, but looks like they were having a great time.
How much fun is that!!!! Who knew an American import such as country music could be found in the Alps with such spirited dancing done by such lovely "country" girls - YES - Love it!
