So exciting! I'm glad to see one woman gets to take part on horseback.
That dappled horse sitting down is really something!
All this makes me think of how it was really like for the Crusader knights who fought and lived here in Israel.
More fabulous photos today! What a wonderful event.
My goodness, Karl, what a wonderful time this must have been. So colorful. Such magnificent horses and sturdy-looking men. And the woman in red! Wow! Thanks for these superb photographs!
Wonderful tradition ! Amazing colorful costumes, like how you photographed the event !
Wonderful! Dina sent me to your blog and I'm glad she did. This reminds me of the Renaissance Faires held each year in southern California, with their pageantry and jousting, although I don't think I've ever seen a horse sit down!
And Bolzano-Bozen is such a beautiful setting.
Hi Wong, I can't define it as a tradition, these are just games, beautiful events, nothing more and nothing less.
Love these photos, the costumes are amazing!
