Really a hard job as manual labor.
But I think there don't may machines to use ..
Very interesting images.
Wie früher, wie immer. Schön. Riecht bestimmnt auch gut!
Wow! This is hard to imagine. I worked one summer on the back of a hay baler in California. It was a terrible job. Can't imagine doing it by hand on a slope like that!
It's a hard job on flat land, I can't imagine doing it on a hillside like this.
If this were my place, I'd rent a tractor! :)
No chance, here it is too steep for a tractor...
what a magnificent backdrop!
How lovely and rural.
The steepness of the slope definitely cancels out the notion of using machinery to get it done.
I guess this is the only way to do this up there...
Go girls!
I worked with those long hay rakes for the first time at the monastery in Switzerland. I had never seen one before (before 2003).
But what a place! It must be haying time everywhere in the northern hemisphere. I have seen recent hay photos in Ontario and the USA's Great Plains. Each area is beautiful, but yours might be the most beautiful.
