I like this custom of exterior decoration. My city has lots of murals but they are normally on businesses or public buildings, seldom on homes. Can't recall ever seeing any on the outside of houses.
It would be the unusual farmhouse in our country, indeed, that had art and craftsmanship like this. :-)
Beautifully done!
You have the loveliest murals Karl, I can't imagine anyone ever tagging these.
Are you sure this isn't a church? Maybe the farm substitutes as a church for those out and about in the countryside. Just kidding. The paintings are quite nice but quite unusual in this part of the world.
You find paintings in the most out of the way places. Tom The Backroads Traveller
A very unusual spot for religious paintings, but they do stand out well.
These are wonderful.
I think decorating the exterior like this is a great idea. Why did we ever get in the habit of just painting houses and buildings one single boring color. Adding this art to the exterior is great.
Amazing. Not what you'd typically find on a farm!
I wonder if someone has ever catalogued these beautiful works you have almost everywhere...
More of these lovely paintings, Karl! Beautiful!!
Another beautiful image to contemplate. Any idea of how far back this tradition of wall painting on homes goes back. I'm curious if the subject indicates the religion of the household. Thanks, Karl, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
