Via monachorum.
This path leads to Karthaus, the village that was once a Carthusian monastery.
The monks' silence still mysteriously haunts the place.
The path to Karthaus, an old pilgrims' route, is marked with quotations. Visitors are encouraged to listen to the silence between the birdsang, the rushing of water and the distant traffic. A rare sound experience in a world of noise.

Thanks for the taste of silence, Karl.
A series of interesting images of a fascinating place: I particularly like the fountain!
Image number 2 from the top is just fantastic!
The vaulted cloister is my favorite.
This is magnificent! Love all those "signs," and I'd love to visit this place. The sound of silence!

Tranquility comes to mind with these images. That cloistered passage is my favourite.
