Ferragosto is one of the most important festivities in Italy and also in South Tyrol...
In South Tyrol we have in the morning the official and religious part...
and in the afternoon the private part...
on great occasions the farmer gives the permission to park the cars in its lawn

It's fun to see the local dress!
You have so many events happening where you are. I sometimes envy you that. Looks like you have a good day for it too. Nice images.
Wow, that is a lot of cars. It's easy to see that this event draws huge crowds.
Traditional festivals are important and it's nice that the farmers participate by making their lawns available for parking.
I am going to have to look up the meaning of it. Looks like great fun and I thank you for sharing these beautiful photos!
It looks like a lot of people come out for that.
There was some type of festival going on here at an Italian church. It must have been for the same occasion!
that is quite a big attendence! wonderful shots of what is going on!
I would really enjoy a traditional festival like this.
Happy Ferragosto (late, because my computer was not working for this last week). Thanks for all the beautiful and happy pictures of the day.
