Elvis Presley has still many fans all over the world, also in South Tyrol.
Up to September 1, 2013 runs in Oberbozen/Soprabolzano on the Ritten/Renon a nice exhibition with many personal items of the "King of the Rock".

Timeless treasures !
This is an exhibit that I wouldn't expect to see in Italy but, you are right, he has fans all over the world.
Elvis will never die.
Know he has fans everywhere, but I'm surprised to see this exhibit in South Tyrol. Always thought Elvis was a sad character always under the thumb of his manager, and way out of his depth in the entertainment world. His life ended badly. Long live rock n' roll. Interesting post.
Every day another surprise: I am glad there are Elvis fans everywhere! I think the American flag used as a tablecloth is not too respectful, but we are in Italy after all...
That is too funny. I can't imagine this. I didn't like Elvis when he was popular! :) But I was sad as to how he died. Are you a fan, Karl. It's a great set of photos.
Darn, I'm not sure my comment went through.
Anyway, thanks for a great series of photos. Can't imagine why anyone would care about Elvis...As Taken for Granted points out, he was a sad character and he lived a sad life.
I was a fan of the young Elvis and was shocked to hear of his death all those years ago. Great series of shots.
Amazing, Karl. I never expected that people would still be fascinated by Elvis this long after his death. And, in Italy, too???
