Urban trees are important to soften city life. What is a "plane tree"? Is that a species of tree? Love your series on forest benches.

I bet that one tree provides so much needed shade in the summer months Karl, it's magnificent.

It looks like the city fathers are keeping it trimmed nicely...pretty important to provide both shade and safety.

I like this idea of Naturdenkmal. And this lovely old tree deserves to be celebrated and cherished.
